What you need

  1. Dell XPS M170 MXG051 Hard Drive Replacement, Dell XPS M170 MXG051 Battery Removal: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Turn off your computer. Then, disconnect your computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    • Close the display and turn the computer upside down on a flat work surface.

    • Slide the battery-bay latch release on the bottom of the computer and remove the battery from the bay.

    • Turn over the computer and remove the two M3 x 3 - mm screws.

    • Slide the hard drive out of the computer.
