Dell Latitude E6540 RAM Replacement

Step 1 Remove battery and base cover
• Shut down your computer. Disconnect all power sources before opening the computer cover or panels.
• Remove the battery and base cover from the computer.
Step 2 Open clips to put in new memory chip

• Open up the clips away from the memory chip until it pops up out of its slot. Take out the memory clip from the system board's connector.
Step 3 Put in new memory chip
• Put the new memory chip into the memory chip's socket.
Step 4 Put back the battery and base cover
• Put the battery and base cover back on the computer.
