Dell Inspiron M5010 Keyboard Keycap Replacement

Introduction

This guide will demonstrate how to remove individual keycaps from the keyboard of a Dell Inspiron M5010.

    • Make sure laptop is powered off before removing the battery.

    • Slide both arrow tabs towards the outer edge of the computer to release the battery.

    • Battery is not shown.

    • Grasp the top of they keycap, and pull it up slightly.

    • The keyboard does not have to be removed from the laptop to replace a keycap.

    • Gently unsnap the keycap you are replacing.

    • Be careful not to snap the switch below the keycap.
