Dell Inspiron 1545 Hard Drive Replacement

What you need

  1. Dell Inspiron 1545 Hard Drive Replacement, Remove the Screws: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • CAUTION: Before working inside your computer, read the safety information that shipped with your computer. Follow the instructions in Before You Begin.

    • Remove the two screws securing the hard drive assembly to the computer base.

    • Slide the hard drive assembly out of the bay.

    • Remove the two screws (one from either side) securing the hard drive cage and bezel to the hard drive.

    • Remove the hard drive bezel.

    • Lift the hard drive cage off the hard drive.

    • Replace the hard drive cage and the hard drive bezel.

    • Replace the two screws (one on either side) that secure the hard drive cage and bezel to the NEW hard drive.

  8. Dell Inspiron 1545 Hard Drive Replacement, Sliding the Hard Drive Assembly: step 8, image 1 of 1
    • Slide the hard drive assembly into the bay.

  9. Dell Inspiron 1545 Hard Drive Replacement, Replace the Screws: step 9, image 1 of 1
    • Replace the two screws that secure the hard drive assembly to the computer base.

    • NOTICE: Before turning on the computer, replace all screws and ensure that no stray screws remain inside the computer. Failure to do so may result in damage to the computer.
