    • CAUTION: Hard drives are extremely fragile. Exercise care when handling the hard drive.

    • Remove the screws that secure the hard-drive assembly to the computer base.

  2. Disconnect the hard-drive cable connector from the hard-drive assembly. Disconnect the hard-drive cable connector from the hard-drive assembly.
    • Disconnect the hard-drive cable connector from the hard-drive assembly.

  3. Lift the hard-drive assembly  away from the computer base.
    • Lift the hard-drive assembly away from the computer base.

  4. Remove the screws that secure the hard-drive bracket to the hard drive.
    • Remove the screws that secure the hard-drive bracket to the hard drive.

  6. Lift the hard-drive bracket off the hard drive. Lift the hard-drive bracket off the hard drive.
    • Lift the hard-drive bracket off the hard drive.

  7. Align the screw holes on the hard drive-bracket with the screw holes on the NEW hard drive.
    • Align the screw holes on the hard drive-bracket with the screw holes on the NEW hard drive.

  8. Replace the screws that secure the hard-drive bracket to the hard drive.
    • Replace the screws that secure the hard-drive bracket to the hard drive.

  9. Connect the hard-drive cable connector to the hard-drive assembly. Connect the hard-drive cable connector to the hard-drive assembly.
    • Connect the hard-drive cable connector to the hard-drive assembly.

  10. Align the screw holes on the hard-drive assembly with the screw holes on the  computer base.
