Introduction

In this guide you will take apart the pinion "head" of the grinder to gain access to components in the gear case.

Using the T-15 screwdriver, remove the four 22-mm torx screws on the gear case.
  • Using the T-15 screwdriver, remove the four 22-mm torx screws on the gear case.

    • Unplug the grinder before any disassembly.

Using the T-15 screwdriver, remove the four torx screws. Using the T-15 screwdriver, remove the four torx screws.

Using a 10-mm wrench, remove the hex nut by rotating counter-clockwise. Using a 10-mm wrench, remove the hex nut by rotating counter-clockwise. Using a 10-mm wrench, remove the hex nut by rotating counter-clockwise.
  • Using a 10-mm wrench, remove the hex nut by rotating counter-clockwise.

Remove the armature assembly from the gear case. Remove the pinion from the armature assembly.
  • Remove the armature assembly from the gear case.

  • Remove the pinion from the armature assembly.
