Cuisinart DCC-1100 Hot Plate Replacement

Introduction

This guide will help you replace the hot plate of the Cuisinart DCC-1100. Please have a replacement hot plate ready for the installation and unplug the machine before beginning work.

What you need

  1. Cuisinart DCC-1100 Hot Plate Replacement, Hot Plate: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Unplug the coffee maker.

  2. Cuisinart DCC-1100 Hot Plate Replacement: step 2, image 1 of 1

    • Remove the coffee pot and place the coffee maker upside down.

  3. Cuisinart DCC-1100 Hot Plate Replacement: step 3, image 1 of 1

    • Remove the five 1.6mm Phillips #1 screws from the bottom panel.

  5. Cuisinart DCC-1100 Hot Plate Replacement: step 4, image 1 of 1

    • Remove the bottom panel.

  6. Cuisinart DCC-1100 Hot Plate Replacement: step 5, image 1 of 1

    • Remove the two 1.6mm Phillips #0 screws from the retaining bracket on the heating element.

  7. Cuisinart DCC-1100 Hot Plate Replacement: step 6, image 1 of 1

    • Remove the retaining bracket and allow it to hang off of the heating element.

  8. Cuisinart DCC-1100 Hot Plate Replacement: step 7, image 1 of 1

    • Remove the hot plate from the heating element.

    • New thermal paste should be applied at time of installation.
