Coby Kyros MID7125 Speaker Replacement

What you need

  1. Coby Kyros MID7125 Speaker Replacement, Speaker: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Use opening too to make small opening in the side of the device.

    • Use plastic opening tool to pry the rest of the panel off.

  2. Coby Kyros MID7125 Speaker Replacement: step 2, image 1 of 1
    • Once inside the device, locate the speakers on the inside of the back panel.

    • Use spudger to pry one speaker up off of the back panel.

    • Desolder the soldering points that connect the speaker to the motherboard.

    • Use a soldering iron to solder the wires of the new speaker to the motherboard.

    • Make sure, when soldering, to connect the red wire to the red and the black wire to the black.

  6. Coby Kyros MID7125 Speaker Replacement: step 6, image 1 of 1
    • Click the new speaker into the spot where you removed the old speaker.

    • Follow steps 2-6 for the other speaker. Snap in back panel to put device back together.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
