Cleaning/Replacing the Filters of a Split Air Conditioner

What you need

    • Turn off the air conditioner using the remote controller.

    • Unplug the A/C unit from its power source.

    • Place your hands on the edges of the lid, and pull the lid up to open it.

    • Apply force as needed in a progressive motion. A small tug might be necessary if the lid is very hard to open.

    • Grab the filter by the small tab located at the bottom.

    • Pull the filter towards yourself to snap it out of the slot that holds it in place.

    • Pull the whole filter out of the A/C unit.

    • OPTIONAL STEP: If your filters are broken or damaged – consider buying new filters.

    • Buy filters that are specifically made for your model of the air conditioner. Otherwise, the filters might not fit into the unit or the device may not function properly.

    • Skip steps 5-7 and continue with step 8 after you’ve purchased your new filters.

    • Wash the filters under streaming water:.

    • Slide the filter from side to side to ensure every part of the filter is washed with the stream.

    • OPTIONAL STEP: Follow this step if filters are very dirty and have lots of dust buildup on them.

    • Place your filters in a bucket with one part water and one part vinegar.

    • Leave for one hour to soak.

    • Wash the filters in circular motions with a soapy sponge.

    • Make sure you washed every part of the filter.

    • Rinse the filter thoroughly with water.

    • Place your filters on a towel in a dry room and let them completely dry out before proceeding to the next step.

    • This might take approximately 20-40 minutes.

    • Place the filters back inside, pushing them forward until they click and fall back into place.

I have EL that show me on the screen when I try to open my A/C and it doesn't work anymore. How can I repair it ? Please 🙏
