HP Chromebook 15 CB3-531-C4A5 Battery Replacement

Introduction

You may need to replace the battery if you have a faulty battery. It will require you to take the back of the computer off and replace the battery internally. There are no hazards accompanied with this task as long as the Chromebook is not charging.

Remove the 18 Phillips screws using a screwdriver with a PH0 bit.

Using a spudger, gently pry open the back from the top.

Once it is opened up, locate the battery and the cable that is attached to it.

Next, unscrew the battery pack. The one screw should be located on the far right of it. This will ensure that the battery comes out easily and affectively.
