Casio Exilim EX-Z850 Outer Case Replacement

Introduction

This guide shows you how to open the Casio Exilim EX-Z850's outer casing and access the camera's internal components. This may be necessary to replace parts of your camera.

What you need

    • Remove all four screws on the camera's side using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

    • Remove all four screws on the opposite side of the camera using the same screwdriver.

    • Remove all four screws on the bottom of the camera using the same screwdriver.

    • The bottom screws are longer than the top screws, so label them accordingly for easy reassembly.

    • Pry open the bottom casing.

    • Remove the ribbon from the LCD screen using the tweezers and set aside the bottom casing.

    • These steps should be taken carefully in order to prevent damage to the camera.

    • Pry apart the top casing using tweezers.

    • Remove the top casing from the camera and set aside the top casing.

    • These steps should be taken carefully in order to prevent damage to the camera.
