  3. Slide the rounded rectangle tab to the left to release the battery cover.

Hi guys, I have a Canon SX500 IS and I jumped inside the swimming pool with its original battery by mistake so it was wet and decided to buy another battery after 4 years and put back on but it's still not switching on

I need some advice guys please what should I do?
