Use this guide to replace the battery on your Canon PowerShot, model SD1000.

When the battery is starting to fail on your Canon PowerShot it may experience drastically shortened battery life or does not turn on at all. Replacing the faulty battery will remedy the problem and ensure that you are able to continue to use your camera as normal.

  1. Turn the camera over so the bottom faces you.

  2. The battery cover should push out.

  3. Let the battery cover open fully and rest as shown.

    • Remove the battery.
