Canon PowerShot SD1000 Back Panel Replacement

Introduction

The first step to replacing any camera parts is to remove the back panel. This only involves removing several small screws.

What you need

  1. Canon PowerShot SD1000 Back Panel Replacement, Back Panel: step 1, image 1 of 2 Canon PowerShot SD1000 Back Panel Replacement, Back Panel: step 1, image 2 of 2

    • Remove the two screws from the side panel closest to the camera lens.

    • Note: These screws are 2.9 mm long.

  2. Canon PowerShot SD1000 Back Panel Replacement: step 2, image 1 of 1

    • Remove the two screws from the camera bottom panel.

    • Note: These screws are 2.9 mm long.

  4. Canon PowerShot SD1000 Back Panel Replacement: step 3, image 1 of 1

    • Remove the 2 screws from the side panel farthest from the lens.

    • Note: These screws are 2.9 mm long.

  5. Canon PowerShot SD1000 Back Panel Replacement: step 4, image 1 of 1

    • Pull the back panel away from the camera body, starting at the end with the function buttons.

  6. Canon PowerShot SD1000 Back Panel Replacement: step 5, image 1 of 1

    • Remove the small cover panel and attached wrist strap mount.
