Brother XR-40 Stitch Select Knob Replacement

What you need

  1. Brother XR-40 Stitch Select Knob Replacement, Back Panel: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Place the machine on a solid surface.

    • Remove the 14mm Phillips #2 screw holding on the face cover.

  2. Brother XR-40 Stitch Select Knob Replacement: step 2, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the two 14mm Phillips #2 screws and two 22mm Phillips #2 screws that secure the rear casing.

    • Lay the machine on its side.

    • Remove the four 10mm Phillips #2 screws that hold the bottom panel in place.

    • The feet will come off with the screws.

    • Remove the bottom panel.

    • Place the machine upright.

    • Remove the rear casing.

    • You may have to wiggle the panel and pull at the same time.

    • Adjust the knob to gain access to the phillips head screw.

    • Remove the 14mm Phillips #2 screw.

    • Remove the knob.
