Introduction

These are Bose On-Ear headphones that I had previously repaired for some other issues. This time the left ear cushion got tore off. Replacement cushions were bought online for less that $10 USD and since it is a Bose, I figured I could spend that money. The replacement is straight forward and does not require any tools etc.

  1. Here is the Bose Tricore OE headset. Slightly worn and a torn left ear cushion To remove an existing ear cushion one would simply be applying a bit of force between the ear pads and the housing. The ear cushion will simply snap off This shows the snaps that attach the ear pad to the case.

  2. Since the ear cushion was already torn off on this one, simply clean the mating surfaces from all debris left by the old ear cushion All left over foam and adhesive tape needs to be removed. This will ensure a proper fit. Hear is a look at the back of the replacement cushion.
