Hello. I also have 1 damaged Monster Beats Solo. It was bought in 2013. The right speaker does not working properly - it sounds softer (opposite of lourder) than the left speaker and whenever I move, I can feel the sound of something loose inside the right ear cup/speaker. I already found some sellers selling the replacement speakers on ebay. Before buying the replacement parts, I decided to open the ear cup myself to check whether it is easy to open or not. However, so far I am unable to open it. I avoind using too much force because it is afraid that I might break the headphone.

According to some websites, the twist counter clockwise removal of the headphone pad is indicative of a fake beats solo HD, the genuine ones have fixed pads apparently. I can't guarantee this, but I do have a set of solo HDs with a faulty speaker and I can't easily remove the pad either

you forgot to mention polarity which matters if you mess that up ull get a lack of bass and phasing issues positive and negative should be clearly marked and a link to a proper replacement you should give proper instructions on how to check for proper polarity with a volt meter for those who dont know.
