On the UX303L Model, there are 2 additional screws on the bottom panel under the rear 2 rubber standoffs. If you are having issues opening the bottom after removing the 9 screws mentioned, that is the reason.

Image 1/3: Remove  two additional screws, if present, from beneath the rubber pads. (Pry up each rubber pad to access its screw.) Image 2/3: Carefully remove the bottom cover. Image 3/3: Carefully remove the bottom cover.
  • Remove all nine screws from the bottom of the device using a T5 screwdriver.

  • Remove two additional screws, if present, from beneath the rubber pads. (Pry up each rubber pad to access its screw.)

  • Carefully remove the bottom cover.

  • Remove the five screws attaching the battery pack by using a PH-1 screwdriver.

  • Unhook the black, red, and white switch using the tweezers.

  • Detach the positive and negative black, white, yellow, and red switch with the use of tweezers.

  • Remove the 3 screws surrounding the hard drive using the PH-1 screwdriver.

  • Gently lift and detach the hard drive, and pull it out.
