Introduction

If the device does not work like it used to, the device may have damaged RAM. Replace or Install new RAM into your device using this guide.

  1. Shut down the computer and disconnect all external devices connected to it.

    • Place the laptop face down. Position the computer with the front towards you.

  3. Loosen the two screws (12mm) on the bottom panel of your device using a Phillips size 0 bit. Use the grips to slide the panel off. Remove the panel by lifting it of the device.

  4. Identify the slot for the RAM in your device.
    • Identify the slot for the RAM in your device.

    • Slide the replacement RAM in until you hear a clicking sound.

Problems with the instructable:

1. Doesn’t say if there was existing RAM and it was removed for the photo, or whether there is integral (unremovale) RAM and the slot is for additional RAM.

2. Doesn’t show how to remove old RAM and insert new.
