  • Locate the battery connector by following the wires that come from the top right of the battery. To disconnect the battery just lift up gently on the wires. Use a spudger or blue plastic opening tool to gently lift the wires if it is hard to get a grip.

  • Using a spudger carefully pry the battery up. It is glued down so slight pressure may be needed.

I don't think you need to do this step (my motherboard came out and back in just fine, I just had to keep the battery cord out of the way, which is way easier than prying the whole thing out of there).

Make sure you REMOVE the micro SD card prior to opening it! Otherwise you risk damaging the micro SD card port.

I just opened my tablet to change the battery, didn't realize this, and sure enough, broke it :(

Hope this helps you avoid that mistake.

How did you fix the sd card port?

It is VERY important that you do not bend the battery during removal!! Even more advisable is discharging the battery completely prior to replacement.... I accidentally bent the old battery while attempting to remove it and the battery heated up, bulged and then exploded!
