Introduction

This guide will demonstrate how to safely remove the battery from your Asus Chromebook C300SA-DS02. This step by step process is simple and should take no longer then five minutes. All of the screws holding the device together are documented by the correct type during the correct step. Make sure to keep track of them throughout the guide.

  1. Power the laptop off and make sure the charger is unplugged before starting. Remove the eight 8.0mm Phillips #0 screws on the bottom of the laptop.

    • Do not completely remove the keyboard. It is still connected to the back panel by a pair of ribbon cables.

  3. Disconnect the two ZIF connectors by prying up the locking bar with a spudger and removing the ribbon cable.   7. Lift the battery out of the laptop.
