Adjusting Nishiki Aero II Front Derailleur

What you need

  1. Adjusting Nishiki Aero II Front Derailleur, Adjusting Nishiki Aero II Front Derailleur: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Shift the bike's rear derailleur onto the innermost gear.

  2. Adjusting Nishiki Aero II Front Derailleur: step 2, image 1 of 1
    • Shift the front derailleur as far inward as it can go.

    • If the chain falls off, tighten the outside limit screw on top of the derailleur.

    • If the chain can't shift to the lower gear, loosen the outside limit screw on top of the derailleur.

    • Yes, the outer limit screw adjusts the inner derailleur limit.

  3. Adjusting Nishiki Aero II Front Derailleur: step 3, image 1 of 1
    • Next, shift the rear derailleur onto the outermost gear.

  4. Adjusting Nishiki Aero II Front Derailleur: step 4, image 1 of 1
    • Shift the front derailleur as far outwards as you can.

    • If the derailleur shifts the chain off the gear, tighten the inner limit screw on top of the front derailleur.

    • If the derailleur is unable to shift onto the outer gear, loosen the inner limit screw on top of the front derailleur.

    • Just like last time, the inner limit screw adjusts the outer limit of the derailleur.

Now, your bike shouldn't have any more problems with the chain falling off.
