Introduction
Go to step 1 ↓This repair guide will demonstrate the process of removing the back cover for the Acer Chromebook CB0311-1H-C1MX laptop. The back cover is responsible for protecting the internal components of the laptop from dirt and debris. If the bottom of your laptop case has been dented or damaged, replacing the cover will ensure safer components.
Removing the back cover will also allow you to access the inside of the Acer Chromebook in the case that you need to repair or replace a component, and is the first step in repairs for this device.
Make sure to unplug and power off your device before you start.

Using a JIS #1 screwdriver, remove eleven 6.6 mm screws from the back cover.
Ask FixBot

Beginning at the hinges, use an iFixit Opening Tool to pry open the back case.

Continue using the iFixit Opening Tool around the entire edge of the case.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
