Acer Aspire One Cloudbook 14 AO1-431-C8G8 USB Port Replacement

Introduction

The USB port allows you to connect other devices to the laptop. This guide will show you how to remove and replace the USB port.

What you need

    • Remove the ten 7mm Phillips #0 screws from the bottom.

    • Insert a plastic opening tool under the bottom cover and slid it around the perimeter until all of the clips release.

    • Use a spudger to flip up the retaining flap on the ribbon cable ZIF socket.

    • Remove the ribbon cable from the socket.

    • Remove the 5mm Phillips #0 screw from the USB port.

    • Remove the USB port from the device.
