Introduction

The USB port allows you to connect other devices to the laptop. This guide will show you how to remove and replace the USB port.

  1. Remove the ten 7mm Phillips #0 screws from the bottom. Remove the ten 7mm Phillips #0 screws from the bottom.

  4. Use a spudger to flip up the retaining flap on the  ribbon cable ZIF socket. Remove the ribbon cable from the socket.

  5. Remove the 5mm Phillips head screw with the PH0 screw driver head. Remove the USB port from the device.
    • Remove the 5mm Phillips head screw with the PH0 screw driver head.

    • Remove the USB port from the device.
