Introduction

Before replacing or upgrading the RAM, make sure that the replacement RAM is compatible with the laptop. Acer Aspire 7736Z-4809 supports the DDR2 667MHz memory,240-pin soDIMM RAM with the capacity of up to 2GB.

  1. Use the Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the eight 6.5 mm Phillips #1 screws. Only the four screws in the center are removable, the four along the edges are held in by rivets but can be loosened.

  5. Release the tabs on the RAM by bending the tabs away from the RAM. The RAM will rise upwards at an angle. The RAM will rise upwards at an angle.

  6. Pull the RAM out of the slot. If you are replacing both sticks of RAM, repeat the previous step for removing the RAM.

It’s a laptop and what you are holding is a 200-pin soDIMM RAM module.
