Hard drives are vital to a computer since it allows for information to be stored. If yours is not working properly, here is how it can be removed.

  • Place the laptop upside down so that the bottom panel is facing upwards.

Image 1/1: Eight 5 mm Phillips head screws
  • Unscrew the following 10 screws

    • Eight 5 mm Phillips head screws

    • Two 10 mm Phillips head screws

  • Carefully peel the panel off of the bottom of the laptop.

Image 1/1: Three 3 mm Phillips head screws
  • Remove the following 4 screws and piece of tape.

  • Three 3 mm Phillips head screws

  • One 5 mm Phillips head screws

  • Carefully disconnect the hard drive from its port by sliding it to right.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
