This guide informs the viewer how to replace a CMOS battery, which controls the time,date, and hard disk of the computer. Please follow the steps below to replace the CMOS battery.

  • Place the laptop upside down so that the bottom panel is facing upwards.

Image 1/1: Eight 5 mm Phillips head srews
  • Unscrew the following 10 screws

    • Eight 5 mm Phillips head srews

    • Two 10 mm Phillips head screws

  • Carefully peel the panel off of the bottom of the laptop.

  • Carefully remove the CMOS battery from its port by lifting it upward.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
