ASUS N56JR-MH71 Optical Drive Replacement

If your optical drive is damaged or if you wish to upgrade it, this guide will show you how to replace the optical drive. A metal spudger will be a tool used for this guide.

What you need

    • Push the battery latch.

    • Keep the battery latch held while you remove the battery.

    • Remove the one screw above the battery port.

    • This device was missing its screws on the back cover when we received the device. As a result, we do not know what head type the screws are, along with their lengths.

    • Use a metal spudger to dislodge the optical drive from the connector.

    • Pull out the optical drive.
