      • Find the bonnet latch inside the cabin and pull to release the bonnet (typically in the driver/passenger footwell).

      • Reach under the bonnet to find the second lever that fully opens the bonnet, giving access to the engine bay.

      • On the M271 Evo 1.8l Turbo engine, the air intake hose is on the right side of the engine bay

      • Find the plastic end of the intake hose and firmly pull until released

      • Find the plastic latch holding the scoop of the intake hose

      • Using a pry tool or similar, press down on the latch until it releases the scoop

      • Firmly pull the scoop away from the plastic housing and remove the old hose from the engine bay. You may need to rotate the scoop to unhook a latch on the underside of the plastic housing.
