Introduction

This guide covers the procedure for replacing a failed fog light bulb on a 2006 Acura RSX. This can be used as a troubleshooting guide for a non-working fog light.

What you need

Step 1 Fog Light Bulbs

Turn your steering wheel in the opposite direction of the fog light. (Ex: If you are working on the left fog light, turn your wheel in the right direction)

Locate the connector to the fog light bulb. (shown in the picture)
The connector itself will have two tabs on each side. Firmly pry on both tabs and simultaneously pull the connector towards yourself.
The last picture is a reference of the connector you will need to disconnect.

Step 3

Rotate the fog light bulb clockwise to unhook the bulb out of its socket.
Once rotated, be careful not to drop the bulb, as rotating the bulb unhinges it from its socket

Step 4

Align the new bulb in the socket and turn it counterclockwise to secure. The new bulb will now sit in its socket and hold itself in place.
Grab your connector and make sure to connect it to the back of the new bulb.
The new replacement seen in this picture is an LED bulb, not a traditional light bulb, but the steps continue to be the same.
