    • Don't yank your windshield wiper blade; pull it back and up.

    • Insert your nail under the locking mechanism.

    • It should be easy enough to pry open with your finger/fingernail. Use keys or anything of that shape if it doesn't come loose easily.

    • Slide the wiper blade down and away from you.

    • This should dislodge it immediately, if not, push the blade up and then slide it down.

    • Take your new windshield wiper, blade side facing towards the ground and slide it up into the wiper arm.

    • It doesn't make a clicking noise, so when you have finished this step, gently pull and prod the wiper to make sure it stays in place!
