  1. 1999-2004 Volkswagen Golf Automatic Transmission Control Unit Replacement, Plastic Rain Tray: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to remove the four screws.

    • Remove the rubber gasket from the rain tray.

    • Lift the tray upwards and away from the vehicle.

    • Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to remove the front two screws.

    • Gently unplug and lift out the automatic transmission control unit.
