Makita Power Cutter Saw Model 4114Q is a corded electric power cutter that features Super Joint System (SJS) technology. SJS is a mechanical clutch system that allows the driveshaft to slip if the cutting wheel is forced to stop. This feature prevents motor and gear damage in grinders. The cutter does not need to be restarted after the wheel stops because the SJS mechanism is mechanical, not electronic. The cutter can be positioned from 0 degrees to 80 degrees and the operating angle does not affect the cutting depth of the wheel.

The 4114Q model weighs 23.8 pounds. It includes a 14-inch diamond cutting blade designed for concrete cutting. It is powered by a 15 Amp motor with 3,800 RPM. The 4114Q model also features a removable base for closet cuts and an adjustable tool base that can cut up to five inches deep. This power cutter also includes an AC/DC switch so that it can be used with an alternative power source.
