Revision to Samsung Windows Phone

== Identification and Background ==

IdentifyingSamsung spans numerous sectors of the consumer market, manufacturing electronics and home appliances, selling everything from a smartphone to a vacuum cleaner. Samsung originated as a company in 1938 when it was founded by Lee Byung-chul in South Korea. The company’s origins are vastly different from its activities today. Samsung started out as a small company with just forty employees that sold groceries, dried fish, and noodles. Around 1954, Samsung began expanding, dabbling in areas like insurance and retail. It wasn’t until the late 1960s that Samsung got involved in the electronics industry.

Since the 1960s, Samsung has produced a range of cell phones over the years, including phones that run the Windows operating system. A notable Samsung Windows phone is the Samsung Focus, released in November of 2010. The Samsung Focus was the first Samsung Windows Phone 7 device. Subsequent releases include the Samsung Omnia 7 and, in the Windows Phone 7.5 line, the Samsung Focus 2, Samsung Focus S, Samsung Omnia M, and Samsung Omnia W.

The final Windows Phone update was released in June 2015. Windows Phone is now a discontinued family of operating systems.

Identifying
your Samsung phone is as simple as removing the back cover and reading the label underneath the battery. Some Samsung Windows phones have physical keyboards, while others have touchscreen interfaces. Samsung phones have the word “Samsung” located somewhere on the device.
