Revision to Plantronics CS50 Headset

Yuliya Levitskaya

The Plantronics CS50 Headset was the first model released during November 2003 for use on office phones. The CS50 Headset is a wireless digital headset system manufactured and marketed by Plantronics, Inc. It allows a hands-free work style that increases the efficiency and freedom of today’s hard-working professionals.

There are currently a total of four models, CS50, CS55, CS50-USB and CS70N. The first three headsets look similar but you can identify the different models by their base. The CS50 base is tall and skinny. CS55 has a shorter and wider base compared to the CS50. The CS50-USB base isslimmest but not the smallest outshortest of all the three and is able to connect to other devices that have a USB port such as a computer. The latest model, CS70N, has a base similar to the CS55, short and wide. The earpiece looks significantly different. It is curved so that the bulk part of the earpiece is behind your earlobe. The mouth piece is also adjustable unlike the other models.
