Background and Identification

Debuting in 2012, the Dell Inspiron 14z-5423 was the newest innovation to Dell's Inspiron line. It was targeted to general users and professionals who valued a rich multimedia experience. Compared to its predecessors, this laptop is thinner and has a modern two-tone design made up of synthetic plastic and aluminum. The keyboard on this model is shorter causing some of the keys to more compact than they are on the Dell Inspiron 14z. It also contains a CD/DVD drive which other ultrabooks from Dell do not have. Lastly, this computer features Skullcandy speakers which you can identify by looking at the Skullcandy logo on the bottom right corner of the laptop.
