Background and Identification
The Acer Aspire E1-572-6870 is an all purpose laptop released by Acer in June of 2013. It features a simple slick black design with a silver Acer logo on the right side in the middle and comes preloaded with Windows 8 (64-bit). With a fourth-generation Intel core i5-4200U processor that runs at 1.6 GHz, it functions well with everyday tasks, but is not meant for high performance gaming.
The device also has the Intel HD Graphics 4400 (32 MB), 4GB of system memory, a 500GB (5400 rpm) hard drive, and a 15.6” HD display. Compared to other laptops within a similar price range and specs, it has relatively good performance and battery life. In addition to these specifications, this laptop is relatively lightweight, weighing about 4.5 lb due to the plastic material it was manufactured with. This model has had no major recalls and has decent reviews overall. Being released in 2013, Acer has produced many newer models, however it is still a viable option for an everyday use laptop.
