Loudspeaker doesn't work after replacing battery

Hi there, I can't find any fix to my problem anywhere, so I decided to ask here:

I've purchased a new battery from this site, replaced the old one and everything works... except for the loudspeaker. I bought another loudspeaker (original) and replaced the old one, but no luck.

Could you help me?

Thank you =)

Did you follow this guide exactly?

There is really no reason for there to be any impact on the speaker. So here are some things to check:

  • If you pried the battery (instead of the pull tabs), double check the dock connector and the surrounding passive components (they are tiny, use magnification). You may have dislodged some components or damaged the connector. Should this be the case, it will require a micro-soldering repair and is not DIY.
  • Also check the contact points under the speaker and on the Dock flex. Clean them with IPA (alcohol).

Could it be a damaged connector even though everything else does work?

I did follow this guide, yes.

@monsieurdaz, Anthony, Check all phone audio settings and be sure volume is up and not muted. You can try a reset, hold the power and home button for 20 seconds, or until the screen goes black and the Apple logo reappears. No go look in ear phone jack for dust/debri and pick/blow it out, plug in head phone(in and out) a bunch of times to see if internal contact sticking. Recheck the connection for speaker/head phone jack and make sure wires/cable damage and pins are not bent. 1st link is to a detailed article on your iPhones issue with trouble shooting tips and advice.

Volume is up, headphones work, no dust, Bluetooth disabled, the hard reset didn't solve anyhing... =/

The lightning/headphone jack connector DOES however look bad, so that could be the problem... but everything else works, so I'm not 100% sure.
