Laptop freezes when plugged in, had to force shutdown

Help!

I'm using ASUS N46V with i7 8GB RAM Win10. It freezes when I plugged the power in and I had to force it to shut down by pressing the power button. I have tried most solutions I can find on the web:

- Disabling processor

- Disabling AC Adapter

- Using high performance mode

- Memory scan

- Disk scan

- Defrag

- Resetting Chrome (at first I thought it was because of Chrome)

- Using ACHI instead of IDE

But it is still happening. Any help would be much appreciated, since I need my laptop to work on my Thesis, which is due in a few weeks.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Is it a new charger?

When did this first start? And does this occur every time?

@thethirdtwin nope, have been using this charger since the day I bought it

@cam2363 a few days ago, I think about a week ago. Yeah, it happens everytime I use it while being charged

You do have a viral protection application that's not a free one and have run it?
