buttons on camera wont work?

my Olympus VR-340 16MP Digital Camera with 10x Optical Zoom will turn on and automatically show that the time and dates need to be put in and no buttons work. to get to the regular camera home page you have to take a picture, but the zoom and flash don't work. none of the buttons work either. i don't think we have a warranty and i am a teenager and used it on a field trip to take pictures and did turn it on and off a couple times, i don't know if that would have anything to do with it not working.
