Have you tried checking HP's website for an updated driver? This is the support page for your device: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/self... On the page where it says it is looking for software for Windows 10 click it to chagne it to Windows 8 and then locate your WiFi chip model and download the driver.

I too had the same problem with my HP envy notebook. My laptop shows all wifi connections other than mine. I was using D-Link dual band router. I resolved the problem by changing the wifi channel to lower one(1-10). It seems Hp laptop does not recognize the channels above 10. So, please log in to your Wifi router and select the bandwidth (2.4 GHz.) and change the the bandwidth which is lower than 10. I hope this will solve the problem. Best of luck…..
