My Canon powershot s410 had a recall they no longer honor on the camera. The led picture is distorted when trying to take a picture. Would replacing the led screen be the fix? Canon not helpful when I called in. I had previously tried to get fixed but was before the recall and now when have I drug it out to try and fix again Canon tells me about the recall or fixing of issue with led screen and that is no longer doing so. Neat little camera..would like to try and fix...any suggestions..?

It's a common problem on the G12. Had mine repaired twice and it kept happening. I eventually got referred to this place: www.camerasandparts.com

It was $89 through them including all of the service they do on the camera, both parts and the labor were included. Best part, they just service Canon Powershot's and they are completely familiar with this image problem on the G12. They actually do a correction inside the camera so this won't keep happening.

I have to say, it's worked flawlessly ever since. The previous repairs I did were through another place and the problem happened again.

Cameras And Parts explained the correction they do with all the G12's they service. Very impressive. Repair time was just a few days too which was nice. All in all, the best place to fix and correct this common problem.

I'm wondering if it's just the screen and not something internal? same problem here in Mauritius, so I thought it might be the humidity. The website you refer to does not work anymore :( Thanks !
