How do I get the battery to charge?

I cannot get the battery to recharge. The green light flashes while charging for more than 8 hrs. Battery still not charged. I have cleaned the terminals as recommended by the company, but no luck.

I am willing to buy a new battery if I could just find one.

Hi.

1. you can buy a wall charger (charge the battery connected to the wall socket) and connect to the ipod.

2. electro Shocks to your battery. You can use a power supply of 5V (for example an AC adapter with this power) and connect with a terminals to the pads of the battery this only has to be for a seconds, otherwise the battery will be burn.

after this process you can chek your battery with a multimeter

You plug in the charger to the wall, and then put it into your leapster device.
