My nexus 7 won't come on .I charged it and it still won't come on the sreen is black like it off. What should I do.

How do I fix it

Hi, I recently bought a battery and using your tool I managed to get the battery changed. It worked for a couple of days and the battery ran out. I then tried to charge it but it won't charge. My friend told me maybe it is the usb port (where the charger goes in) is faulty. What do you think? Thanks
