Disconnect the power cord.

Remove the user access panel from the bottom of the computer.

Press the PMU reset switch once on the bottom side of the logic board. Do NOT press the PMU reset switch a second time because it could crash the PMU chip.

The switch is near the memory slot, next to the airport card.

Wait ten seconds before you connect the power cord and keep your fingers crossed.

Hi

I tried this. Took off bottom round panel exposing airport card and memory card. Did not see any switch or button. There is just a solid metal panel around the exposed cards, can't see underside of circuit board. Removed 4 screws that allowed me to lift off the dome top but can only see top of circuit board not underside. What to do next?

The PMU button is under the semi-transparent film layer to the side of the wireless card. It’s almost in the corner of the whole rectangular area. However, this didn’t work for me anyway…….
