Changed Battery Cannot Slide to Unlock?

I replaced the Battery and iPhone 3G powers up just fine, but it will not allow me to slide to unlock phone. It will allow me to slide to shutdown, and slide to change volume, but not slide to unlock. When I connect to Mac Book Pro it does sync with iTunes, but still cannot slide to unlock. Any ideas?????

Thanks for any suggestions. ;~}

Chosen Solution

Turn OFF and carefully open iPhone and reconnect flex cable #2 the Digitizer Flex Cable. If still problem, digitizer may be faulty.

I followed your instructions and am happy to report that I can now slide to unlock. My iPhone 3G is working just as it did before, with the replacement battery. The battery life is not as long as it was when the phone was new, but it is an improvement from the previous battery.

Thanks Brad!!

God Bless You!!!
