FM37 mp4 playerwont hold its charge

I have an unresponsive FM37 mp4 player. When plugging into my PC it connects and appears to charge but then stops.When disconnected it will not switch on. It was working fine until about 6 months ago. I have tried holding on the power on slider when charging and in normal mode, tried holding reset.

Please help as this is a great wee player

peter, sounds like a bad battery. I definitely would start by replacing the battery first.

thanks but how do you replace the battery on these models - cant see any screws
