water damage, booting up no screen

My ipod got wet. Can't see anything. It's restoring and finally showing up on itunes, but I can't see anything. What do I replace?

Cheryl, the first thing I wold recommend is that you clean your iPod. This will prevent and corrosion damage later on. Use this guide to clean it. It was written for a iPhone 3G but all the steps still apply to you. Pay particular attention to your connectors and cable ends. Once it is clean, re-evaluate. Replace the LCD if you have no result from it. If that does not work, you may have shortened out components on the logic board. Since you did not tell us which model iPod you have, I can not tell you what IC you may have to look at. Hope this helps, good luck.
