Can the display be disassembled?

Is it possible to successfully disassemble/assemble the Display on this MacBook to clean the individual elements?

Foundation Makeup (oil based) has entered the lid and can be seen under the glass.

Other than the visible problem the Macbook is working correctly.

YES - the 2011 guide doesn't show the steps but the are very close to the 2010. Be sure to purchase the proper tools (here or eleswhere) ...every job is easier when you use the correct tool.
